    Riga is love

    by Kseniia
Seems like we’re for the first time in Riga airport when it’s sunny outside. Giant windows decorated with flowers were made for this weather! I thought that week spend in Latvia recharged me 100%, but it appeared that couple more percents were spared for this moment here at the airport. But no matter if I will see sun above plains in Riga once more or not, I will definitely come back to this city again and again. For inspiration, for smiles, for confidence in who I am and what we’ve been doing. There can’t be anything more perfect than this old steets living modern live. Paving stones and plastic coffee cups. Old statues and up-to-date graffiti. Elderly couple coming to the same park bench for many years and teenagers playing with plastic swords in front of them. Riga is a city of contrasts, city of our emotions, desires and abilities, city of released ambitions and new plans. Riga, all our love – to you!

    Riga Fashion Week.Day 2

    by Kseniia
Second day of Riga Fashion Week started with show-room Madam Bonbon presentation. This one is such a conceptual place! May be even way too conceptual:) Seriosly! Seeing shoes on a luxurious bed or even in bathroom during the presentation may be funny, but can you imagine yourself buying clothes at such place? I can hardly imagine stepping on a toiled to reach 50% discounted pair of shoes.:) But the atmosphere is definitely perfect there! That is why we’ve spend there so much time, chatting with guests and designers, taking pictures…
  • There are not that many places in the world where we can feel like home while doing our job. And Riga is one of them. We are here now for our third fashion week but for the first time representing only our blog and I couldn’t be more proud! Though we have missed previous season, I still feel like we were here a few days ago. And mostly because of the friendly people we always meet here. Just imagine, Riga Fashion Week celebrates it’s 20st season and some of people are working here since the very first fashion show! Isn’t it crazy? I can’t believe it’s true, cause Moscow fashion week crew changes each season:)

It’s not always about the destination

    by Kseniia

Exploring new destinations makes our heart beat faster. But let’s be honest, no matter how beautiful, extraordinary and unusual is what we’re about to see, it’s not only the final destination that makes us happy and free. The road, the anticipation can be equally sweet and uplifting. Be it those precious hours on a plane, when you’re disconnected from the rest of the world and all you can think about is how you’ll land on an unknown territory in a few hours. Or a wonderful road trip with the warm wind in your hair, endless snacks in a car and your favourite music playing so loud you can’t even hear ourself singing.

  • That’s so weird – to sit on a balcony of a beautiful apartment, overlooking Auckland harbour, and to write in blog. Seriously, I remember myself constantly updating blog from new places. Yes, the last year wasn’t full of travels for us, but we don’t complain. I mean, doesn’t moving to a new country equals a life-time travel?:) Anyway, I’m typing all these words just to let you know that me and Alex are now having a time of our life at New Zealand Fashion Week. And that’s probably the main reason of my nostalgic mood:) Because this trip brought back so many memories of other Fashion Weeks, new destinations, new hotels, and midnight blog updates (God, save the extra coffee shots!). Auckland is the sixth FW city for us, so we are really curious and excited to compare local fashion week with Moscow, Milan, Riga, Tashkent, Ekaterinburg.

  • Did you ever have this feeling of a prefect match with a town, like you’ve always belonged here though you’re only visiting it as a tourist for a couple of days? Unfortunately, along with this wonderful feeling normally comes another one. Not that shiny and bright. A feeling of being an outsider, someone who can not overcome the difficulties of moving to this place of your dreams. It can be either because of the language you don’t know, expensive cost of living that a new comer can never afford or simply visas restrictions. But here is a deal: if you really want to experience living somewhere else why not to move for a while and work remotely to finance your new lifestyle? Here is my personal top of places where I don’t want to move forever, but would spend some time with the greatest pleasure. Let’s go?

  • What do people normally do in December? Well, besides rushing out for Christmas presents, of course:) Planning the future year, what else! If you’re currently in the middle of choosing a new exciting destination to discover in 2017, here I am with my calendar of the best places for each month of the year. Because the right weather is obviously at least 50% of your good emotions while traveling. Who wants to spend beach holidays hiding from the rain, or skiing in a nasty dirt instead of a fluffy snow? So the perfect approach to planning a travel is to always start from checking the high season.

    Living abroad: pluses and minuses

    by Kseniia

Can hardly believe only one day left before we hit three months of living in New Zealand! Despite the time flies way slower here, it still passed amazingly fast! But anyway we had plenty opportunities to explore local way of living. Honestly, I already feel more comfortable and happy here than I used to while living for 4 months in United States, for example. So today I want to share my personal pluses and minuses of living abroad.
