We only had around an hour to whizz through the yet sleepy, early morning Arrowtown on our way to Tasman glacier, but you know what? It was enough to make us looking forward to another trip! The cutest lil town I have ever seen, that has that magical, enchanted feeling, as if you've accidentally took the wrong turn on the highway and found yourself in a new Universe, where everything is so familiar, yet a bit different.

You can never have enough time to explore all the activities and entertainments Rotorua has to offer! And I know what I'm talking about - we live in Tauranga, with Rotorua located only an hour away, so it has been our go-to choice for a cool weekend getaway for the last two years.

Many years of the 'Iron Curtain' regime certainly did no good to Russia as a touristic country. Even those once curious to see the biggest country in the world, the land of untouched nature, severe winters, gargantuan palaces and the most beautiful girls (no biased opinions, just facts) had ditched the dream in favour of more accessible and friendly destinations. Besides simply being impressed with all the positive changes in Moscow, we've also really enjoyed visiting new places. New 'Kosmos' (Space) pavilion definitely stood out among them.

One common thing all resort managers in Maldives were telling us is how tricky it becomes to attract customers with the rise of the cheaper hotels and even backpackers' hostels options in this destination. Obviously, we were really curious to find out how does it go with the older hotels, the ones that have first started this whole white sand - palm trees - transparent water craze. So we made sure to visit the very first (!) Maldivian resort - Kurumba.

Velassaru was our first stop in Maldives and we have only reached this beautiful island late at night, all sleepy and tired after a long flight from New Zealand. Knowing that we'll only have one full day to explore the resort before moving deeper into the atolls, we decided to take maximum out of it.

If you ask me about the quintessential New Zealand destinations I was dreaming to visit, I would name White Island and Milford Sound. Milford Sound is known as the eighth wonder of the world and the most visited sight of the country.

Have you ever asked yourself, what’s the actual difference between “just another hotel” and a hotel that you suddenly have a very personal connection with? What makes some of them to truly stand out and being remembered forever? In my opinion, it all comes down to the experiences.
