First ever Vegan Vibes festival in Tauranga

    by Kseniia

Did you know, that the amount of people, refusing to eat meat, fish, eggs and milk, in New Zealand increased by 27% in the last 5 years? Impossible to believe, but while Alex still can’t stand even a tiniest sip of soy cappuccino, others are happy to eat raw brownie or prepare green smoothie bowl for breakfast:) Noticing the trend, Rachelle Duffy and Little Big Events decided to organize Vegan Vibes festival in Tauranga.

Old town in Riga. You will never want to leave!

    by Kseniia

There are such places, you want to get back to again and again. Sometimes it seems like you can literally spend all your life in there. That is exactly how I feel about Riga. It was obviously love from the first sight. From the first step at an airport, from the first breath, from the first sound. I’m completely in love with its Old City and I’m pretty sure this love is mutual.

How we moved to New Zealand (and how much it costed us)

    by Kseniia

Our dear New Zealand (and all English speaking, of course!) readers. Sorry for being to lazy to translate this giant post… We normally don’t behave like that, but this time allowed ourselves a little relax, cause this article is about the documents and steps you need to take to move from Russia to New Zealand with a student visa. We are pretty sure it’s not an issue for you, is it?:) Please, just let us now in comments in case you still want to read the post in English and we will do our best, I promise!

Mount Maunganui vibes: Wild One Wholefoods Eatery

    by Kseniia

Mount Maunganui is obviously the most vibrant, energetic and fashionable place of our town. A narrow piece of land, stuck in between one of the "World’s TOP-25 most beautiful beaches" and a picturesque port, that ends with one of maori’s sacred symbols (and the best viewing point of Tauranga) – Mount Maunganui itself. The chicest houses and the latest trends are located in here. Among the last are sports (just have a look at those surfers and runners!) and healthy eating. No surprise, Mount now is such a popular place for organic and healthy food. And one of the must visit cafes of that type is definitely the Wild One Wholefoods Eatery, that was opened in June.

Traditional crafts nearby Moscow – amazing idea for weekends

    by Kseniia

Sometimes you only need a tiny jewellery casket, decorated by a talented artist, to understand how huge and epic Russian culture is. Unfortunately, less and less people now know that even Moscow suburbs are a powerful centres of traditional Russian crafts. Fedoskino with its caskets, for example, used to be a great attraction for tourists from all over the world and country and now every sale is worth a celebration for local masters. But we are the only ones who are able to keep those amazing folk crafts alive! So why not to spend one day visiting some museums if you occasionally find yourself on Moscow?

7 interesting facts about Kronshtadt, making this city even more attractive

    by Kseniia

I can’t even count haw many times I’ve been to St.Petersburg, but yet have I never visited one of its regions – Kronshtadt. Though there were an attempts to walk there in my student years, that I’ve never achieved – this place is quite remote:) Small island, located over the beautiful bridge across the sea, is full of wonders and surprises.

How do backpackers travel in New Zealand

    by Kseniia

Backpacker is a tourist, who travels cheap and ignores tourists’ agencies.

Everything in New Zealand is quite new to us, everyday is full of surprises and discoveries. But if I still can imagine how it’s possible to apply for and receive a bank card in 15 minutes, that people fix their cars before selling them or that you can’t rent a house if the number of square meters is smaller than a number of your family members (or a landlord would pay fines), the fact that their’s way new culture of traveling and now boarders for people from over the world will be definitely way harder to digest. Here is one of the most amazing and unusual experiences I’ve ever had!
