Best moments and photos of 2019

Can you believe we’re just DAYS away from a new decade? 2019 was full of adventures, life-changing decisions and amazing achievements for us (but also full of doubts, insecurities and failed attempts but we’re not here for that, are we?), so let’s have a quick look back at the past 12 months with this gallery of our favourite photos of 2019.

This year started with a special project for Bay of Plenty Tourism – they’ve challenged us to find the best waterfalls in the Bay. Here is our video-guide to some of the local waterfalls, by the way.

In March we’ve ticked the final region of the North Island off our bucket-list – we went to Northland with BMW. Here are all the places we’ve visited in two weeks and here is a little more about visiting Cape Reinga, 90 Mile Beach and Te Paki Giant Sand Dunes. This was the place where we finally got a chance to see kiwi bird up close and personal and to learn a lot about these unique species. Here is our detailed article about kiwi birds. In fact, it even inspired us to start our fundraiser to help Kiwis for Kiwi trust.

Thanks to our new partners, OPPO New Zealand, we had a chance to explore Christchurch in winter and spend a beautiful night in Pure Pod – completely transparent glass house in the middle of nowhere with epic views. Learn more about this amazing experience from our video.

Later this winter we’ve also visited the Coromandel – one of our favourite corners of New Zealand. Here is one of our detailed guides to the Coromandel.

For many years in a row we have this beautiful tradition to visit Hawke’s Bay at least once per year and we’re so happy the tradition continued this year and we were lucky to travel there with our friends and spend some really cool and fun time together.

Shortly after that Alex went on a business trip to Christchurch (for the second time this year!)

Of course, throughout the year we’ve been to Auckland approx million times both for personal and business reasons. Here are some photos from different trips.

Another region we can never resist to visit again and again is Waikato.
