  • Finland is a place of total relax, a place, where all the body fills up with energy and the head – with new creative ideas and plans. Life flows efortlessly here, giving every other day a very special meaning and value. We could literally return to this country with its amazing nature – so unique and so familiar at the same time –  countless times. The best way to spend your time here is somewhere outside the cities, to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, to try some new activities like kayaking in Karelia, cycling in between fields covered by strawberries or fishing on a giant Saimaa lake. Only in that case Finland is able to show its best sides.

Today’s owners of an old Jarvisydan hotel understand this fact perfectly, so they collect all the modern activities to give us a chance to fall in love with our neighbor country at first sight. Honestly, I currently understand that I literally could stay in this place all the holiday, if I ever had one, without going anywhere else, because they have everything you need: from a marvelous national park up to the reachest collection of wines from all over the world.

Man’s view: St. Peter Line cruise tour

    by Alex

Today we are happy to introduce you a man’s view on traveling. And that is because Ksusha finally agreed to let me travel alone for our blog and show you, what I’ve seen there. Not quite understanding what I’m about to do yet, I had to board on St. Peter Line ship and make myself ready for a cruise through 3 northern capitals: Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallin.

Honeslty, we were thinking about adding some man-side posts to thestylejungle.ru for quite a long time. Well, not certainly it would be all about man. But just a little alternative views:) Because I also have something to say, by the way! Of course, first of all we decided about Tips&Tricks posts to share my knowledge in photo and video. But everything appeared to be very different and I had to try myself in a sea, while Ksusha stayed on a shore.

  • The best morning is when a golden sun, that brightens up beautiful red roofs, can be seen from your hotel room window. And that is exactly wha you get while staying in 5 stars Augustine just next to the Valdshtein garden and Karlov Bridge. And by the way, an amazing location is not even the greatest advantage of this place. And what is? Of course, it’s breathtaking history, dated back at XIII century!

  • Seems like all those dressing up’s are becoming a big part of my blog: romantic style of “Downton Abbey” in Czech to begin with and a traditional Oktoberfest fun in Munich afterwards… Could I ever imagine, that I would love it so much? But anyway, it was just impossible to skip dressing in a wonderful gown while enjoying Millennium Park (Novorijskoe avenue, 19 km) fall celebration. Do you agree?

  • Oktoberfest in Munich is right at it’s peak now: the first barrel was ceremonially opened and even already forgotten after a huge amount of taken beer, specially produced for the world’s largest festival; beermakers have made their traditional procession with the loud orchestras and beautiful horses through the city towards the Theresa’s meadow, where an event is held; and up to six millions tourists, who arrive in Munich every year at this dates, are happily watching all this, taking photos and drinking beer.

So Munich today is a center for everything crazily funny and interesting. And will remain like that till the 4th of October. But who was the first? Who who was the first to put on dirndl and loudly (without beer but with an amazing company) celebrate the beginning of the “fifth season in a year”, as locals call Oktoberfest? Ta-daaam, this person is right in front of you! And I’m going to show you everything:)

    90 years later: Skoda 110

    by Kseniia

In a year 1925 on a Laurin&Klement factory, that was going through a great connection with a Skoda concern at that moment, in Czech city of Mlada-Boleslav a new car was made. It appeared to be a true symbol of that period in a brand history, cause had two names on it: “Laurin&Klement” on a radiator enclosure and “Skoda” – a little higher. Isn’t it just a perfect moment to produce such car, when the world itself was in a middle of going from the new to the newest age of history?

We had a chance to get know it better during our trip to Czech with Skoda this summer. Old cars of the brand were waiting for us in a romantic Loucen castle.

  • Many people don’t get why are we so addicted to car travels. But when you only seen the world from the car window, you immediately understand, that there is no better way to fall in love with it. Czech from this side is all about amazing pastoral views, that give you harmony and piece, neat villages with a mandatory breweries, where elderly people ride segways, and here you finally understand what really matters in this life, also about marvelous trdelnik smell and 160 km/hour to skip extra calories:)

I suppose, people should visit Czech exactly for this – rashy, always too short, but oh so emotional autojourney. And thanks to Skoda I could share my this summer journey with Alesha.

  • Sorry, dears, for being so late with the final trend shooted with Calipso – shoes and accessories brand. This one is one of my favorites, because it can be so different and there is no reason to stop experimenting with it. I’m talking about Japanese style. Brands like The Row or Marni are all about tradition kimono or at leas adding long wide belt to a modern clothes this season. But mostly designers do look for an inspiration not in a history, but in a modern Japan with its outstanding street style and culture.
